Sonea Organization
Sonea Organization is a youth-led, non-profit entity established in 2020 by a visionary group of Somali youth determined to create transformative change across Somali society. Rooted in grassroots leadership and driven by an unwavering commitment to public service, SONEA emerged from a deep concern over the inequalities in education, health, environmental sustainability, and social development especially among vulnerable andunderserved communities.

The Sonea Organization is a youth-led, non-profit organization established in 2020
Recognizing and awarding top-performing students in national examinations while providing mentorship and career guidance by connecting them with experienced professionals.
We deliver leadership and life-skills training programs for young people, offer vocational training and entrepreneurship development support, and promote volunteerism and civic engagement among Somali youth.
Conducting community health awareness campaigns on hygiene, nutrition, reproductive health, and disease prevention.
Facilitating access to basic medical services through mobile clinics and outreach camps.
We facilitate community dialogue forums to address grievances, promote forgiveness, and restore social bonds, conduct peace education sessions in schools and universities to teach conflict resolution.

We promote women’s leadership and participation in education, governance, and civil society; advocate for legal protections for survivors of gender-based violence, discrimination, or abuse; host community dialogues and awareness.
